Here’s an Idea! 💡

Very often I get asked what is a good way to prevent injuries when running or working out. My simple answer is: rotate your running shoes.

The reason behind this answer is that when you run or do a high impact workout, the materials,

namely the foam, in your shoes get compressed (think of squeezing a sponge, same idea). Giving your shoes at least 24 hours to rebound between uses will allow the cushion to better absorb the impact of the run on your body. Less impact = fewer injuries

Rotating between different kinds of running shoes will also allow your muscles to get slightly different stimulations. This will also prevent overuse injuries and muscle imbalances.

Remember, rotate your shoes just like you rotate your tires! Makes them last longer and keeps you safer! Reach out if you would like a socially distant shoe fitting appointment for next week!

Stay well, FitFooters!
